Richard Shepherd began his energy career with the birth of the Rotterdam oil spot market and OPEC in the 1960s. He worked in the nuclear industry and world gas trade business in the 1970s before founding Petrodata, an offshore oil contracting data and forecasting business through the 1980s and 1990s. Current private client work covers oil, natural gas, alternative energies and power sectors.

Fay Chen pioneered forecasting and online oilfield trading systems in the 1990s and now heads forecasting and market and price simulation tool development for Petrologica.
